Ahir Shah – Dots, Wed 11th March Hyde Park Book Club, Thu 12th March, The Crescent

Ahir dots

Nominated for Best Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2017 and 2018, Ahir Shah is on tour again with his new stand-up show DOTS. Featuring Shah’s signature blend of philosophical inquiry, personal examination, and sweet gags, DOTS is a stand-up show about the necessity, utility, and absence of certainty. Topics include Mexico, culture, politics, cigarettes, depression, adulthood, funerals, religion, children, love, and dead German sociologists. It is considerably funnier than it sounds.

Shah’s last show, DUFFER, was performed to packed houses and critical acclaim at the 2018 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, followed by a sold-out run in London’s West End, and a UK and international tour.

As seen on Have I Got News For You, Live At The Apollo, and The Mash Report.

Alfie Brown: Imagination – The Basement, Tuesday February 25th

After a sell out Edinburgh run which garnered incredible reviews Alfie is taking his brand new show on Tour around the UK and Europe.

This year he is focused on family, friendship and inherited belief.

Truly subversive and almost torridly honest, a true room distilling comedian, like him, the new hour will be loving, dangerous, inquisitive and disgusting.

‘It is tricky to write 350 sensible words, when you come out a show simply thinking ‘Wow! F*ck! Wow!’’ ★★★★★ (Scotsman).

‘The British Doug Stanhope’ ★★★★ (Guardian).

Jordan Brookes: Jordans Coming Early, York The Basement

Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2019 No tricks. No gimmicks. No plan. Just an hour in my company as we reach the end. Things will be over soon. We’re nearly there everyone! Great work. But before we go, I’m making one last attempt to find connection in the here and now, to snuffle out any remaining joy in this rapidly crumbling world, before it’s too late.

“There’s a whiff of Beckett to I’ve Got Nothing: all of us (Brookes included) are just waiting for this gangly Godot to leave. But when he finally does, after a dozen false endings, it’s a crying shame to see him go.” ★★★★★ Telegraph

“I’ve Got Nothing delivers one of the comic coups of this year’s Fringe.”
★★★★ Guardian

“It takes great skill to make an hour look this random, and yet keep hitting laughter buttons with precision.” ★★★★ Scotsman

“I’ve Got Nothing is stand-up’s answer to Waiting For Godot.” ★★★★ Chortle

OUR NEXT SHOW – Desiree Burch: Desiree’s Coming Early, York The Basement

Screen Shot 2019-09-30 at 17.42.44

Have you ever been caught in a loop?

OMG, seriously this is getting boring. Like, how many times do we have to try to fix this trash only to have to fix it again? When is stuff ever going to change? Does every revision require, like, a friggin revolution or something? Or does pushing too hard just wind up sending you right back to the beginning? And what if everything really is just the same thing forever?

Have you ever been caught in a loop?

Comedian and storyteller Desiree Burch (Netflix, Live at the Apollo, Radio 4) was born late, bloomed late, and generally has difficulty with the present moment. At a moment in history where decades of societal progress have swung right back around to authoritarianism and regression, Desiree embarks on a spiritual journey of mythically ridiculous proportions into the Black Rock Desert of Nevada, to figure out how she, and maybe all of us, have gotten here–and maybe, possibly, hopefully, how we fix the suckiness.

Have you ever been caught in a loop?

OMG, seriously.

Have you ever been caught in a loop?

The breakout star of Netflix’s Flinch, The Mash Report and Live At The Apollo (BBC).

As seen on Have I Got News For You, QI, Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week and more!
